African Queen Mines Closes Private Placement

Vancouver, British Columbia / TheNewswire / June 12, 2017 - AFRICAN QUEEN MINES LTD. (the "Company") is pleased to announce the closing of its previously announced non-brokered private placement which was fully subscribed and has raised gross proceeds of CAD $601,220. Under the terms of the private placement, the Company has issued 12,024,400 Units (the "Units") at CAD $0.05 per Unit.

Each Unit consists of one common share of the Company and one-half of one share purchase warrant (the "Warrants"). Each whole Warrant entitles the holder to purchase one additional common share of the Company at an exercise price of CAD $0.075 until June 12, 2019. The Company paid cash finders' fees of CAD $21,175 representing 3.52% of the aggregate proceeds of the offering. The Units are subject to a 4-month hold period in Canada expiring October 13, 2017.

Proceeds from the private placement will be utilized for exploration and development of the Company's Yellowjacket Gold Project and related mineral tenures in Atlin, British Columbia, working capital, and general corporate purposes.

The Company's 2017 field work program is presently underway on-site in Atlin.
