Sanatana Resources Undertakes HLEM Survey on High-Priority Copper Soil Anomaly
TSX VENTURE: STA
VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Dec. 15, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sanatana Resources Inc. (“Sanatana” or the “Company”) (TSX-V:STA) is pleased to provide this exploration update to its shareholders.
Sanatana has engaged Abitibi Geophysics to conduct a Horizontal Loop Electromagnetic (HLEM) survey at the copper soil anomaly target on the Jackfish property.
The soil anomaly measures 300m long across three lines of the soil sampling grid and 100 m wide along lines with copper values from 320 to 769 ppm (previously reported in error as ppb) compared to a background of 15 ppm Cu. This geochemical target has become a high-priority drill target after the Company received data from a recently completed UAV magnetic survey. The survey revealed that magnetic features underlie the copper soil anomaly where granitic rocks had been previously mapped. As previously reported, a grab sample of mineralized float that returned assay values of 14.9 g/t Au, 6.5% Cu, 7.5% Pb and 1% Zn was also collected from the immediate area of the copper anomaly.
The reconnaissance style of the HLEM survey provides a quick but robust assessment of any conductive targets that may be associated with the magnetic bodies and potentially the copper soil anomaly itself.
The UAV magnetic data is in the process of being modelled using 3D inversion techniques to provide a better framework to plan the HLEM survey and both datasets combined will help to fine tune the planned initial drill program on the Jackfish property.
