Orefinders Announces Partnership with SCR Mining to Develop the Mirado Mine in Kirkland Lake, Ontario

TORONTO, May 17, 2017 /CNW/ - Orefinders Resources Inc. ("Orefinders" or the "Company") (TSX.V: ORX) and SCR Mining and Tunnelling ("SCR") are pleased to announce a strategic partnership to develop the Mirado Mine.  SCR is a significant shareholder in Orefinders, and was a key partner in the planning and execution of Orefinders stockpile bulk sample project, completed in January 2017. Under this partnership, SCR will prepare the mine site, conduct contract mining and haul materials from the Mirado to local mills.

"Orefinders is fortunate to have an experienced contract miner like SCR as a partner on the Mirado Mine project. Our plan is to put Mirado's open pit back into production in the near term with minimal capital expenditures as we require no mill or tailings facilities on site. SCR provides a turn key operations solution for the Mirado Mine and their contribution to date has been invaluable. Accordingly, we are pleased to confirm this relationship going forward. With the completion of our updated NI 43-101 Resource Calculation and Preliminary Economic Assessment on the horizon, Orefinders will look to expedite all facets of this project jointly with SCR's consultation", said Orefinders CEO Stephen Stewart
