Benton Resources Announces Results of Annual General and Special Meeting of Shareholders

Thunder Bay, Ontario--(Newsfile Corp. - January 15, 2019) - Benton Resources Inc. (TSXV: BEX) ("Benton" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that it successfully held its Annual General and Special Meeting of Shareholders on January 11, 2019 (the "Meeting"). At the Meeting, the election of Stephen Stares, Michael Stares, William Harper and John Sullivan as directors of the Company was approved by an overwhelming majority of shareholders who voted. All other matters presented to shareholders for approval were successfully passed at the Meeting.
The Company also announces that it has granted 1,950,000 stock options to directors, officers, employees and consultants of the Company. All such options will have a term of five years at an exercise price of $0.07 per share, will be governed by the terms and conditions of the Company's stock option plan and will be subject to vesting provisions.
