TORONTO, Aug. 27, 2018 /CNW/ - Detour Gold Corporation (TSX: DGC) ("Detour Gold" or the "Company") announces a special meeting of shareholders (the "Meeting") will be held in Toronto on December 11, 2018.
The Meeting has been called by the Board of Directors in response to a requisition from Paulson & Co. Inc. Shareholders will receive information about the Meeting and how to vote in a management information circular to be mailed in advance of the Meeting. In the meantime, there is no need for shareholders to take any action.

The Company has retained Kingsdale Advisors as its strategic shareholder and communications advisor, BMO Capital Markets as its financial advisor, and McCarthy Tétrault LLP and Norton Rose Fulbright LLP as its legal advisors.
